News & Views from Campus: September 1^st – September 7^th  

-Cottage Community Center (30D): Tuesday, 6:00pm: Triple Yahtzee. Wednesday, 1pm: Ponytail Canasta. Thursday, 10am: Coffee Hour (regular & decaf, 1pm: Friday, 6:30pm: Friday Night Fun & Games. Saturday, 1pm: Dominoes Train.

-Don’t Forget The United Hearts Family Fest, September 7^th, from 11am – 5pm at Trinity Church at 24^th & Cherry Lane! We invite all cottagers, residents, employees, and friends of our Home to come celebrate and enjoy fellowship and fun! Residents & Cottagers: We will have a bus running to take you to Family Fest. It will be at the front entrance at 11am, 1:30pm, and 4:30pm to return. We will not have staff on hand to assist, so please plan accordingly & join us!

-Beauty Shop: We are excited to announce our new hire, part-time beautician Jess Brown! She has over 10 years of experience, and will be in the beauty shop Tuesday-Thursday, 8am-4:30pm! To schedule an appointment, call 217-223-8717 ext. 4215! -Cherry Lane Cottagers: Join us for “Meet Your Neighbors” the 1^st & 3^rd Tuesday each month at 7pm at 2109 Cherry Lane Est North! -The other day I tried to make some jokes about unemployed people, but none of the worked!  

-I renamed my iPod the Titanic, so now every time I plug it in, it says, “Your iPod is syncing…”  

ICE CREAM SOCIAL on Thursday, September 19^th at 3:30pm at Speckhart Pavilion for all cottagers! Come meet your fellow cottagers and make an Ice Cream Sundae! Bring a lawn chair if you have one, we hope to see you there!
