Levels of Care
We recognize that you have numerous questions regarding the available options for you or your loved one. You might be curious about the different levels of care and which one is the best fit. You don't have to make this decision on your own. Our team is here to discuss your unique circumstances and assist you in finding the right senior living option for you.

Senior Living Options
Good Samaritan Home is a Life Plan Community, also known as a Continuing Care Retirement Community. This means we offer independent living, assisted living, skilled and intermediate nursing care, short-term rehabilitation, and specialized dementia care, all on one campus. Learn more about these levels of care below.
We provide more services than any other facility in our area and are here for you if your needs change or increase. Good Samaritan Home ensures a seamless transition to higher levels of personalized care without the need to search for a new facility in the future.
Independent Living
Independent Living is ideal for individuals or couples who are completely self-sufficient but prefer not to manage their own home anymore. It’s the perfect choice for active seniors wanting to downsize while maintaining their independence. These options provide the privacy and autonomy of having your own condo or duplex, with all indoor and outdoor maintenance handled by us.
At Good Samaritan Home, cottages come in various sizes, styles, and prices. Monthly rent for one or two-bedroom units covers all maintenance and utilities, except for phone, internet, and cable.

Assisted Living
Assisted Living is designed for individuals who may require some day-to-day assistance but do not need nursing care. This neighborhood allows residents to maintain their self-sufficiency while having the reassurance that our 24-hour staff is just a call away. Our Assisted Living program offers various tiers of services with rates adjusted accordingly. Assistance levels include services such as housekeeping, medication administration, and help with dressing. Service plans can be tailored as needs change. Assisted Living can be paid for privately or with long-term care insurance.
Intermediate & Skilled Nursing Care
Intermediate and Skilled Nursing Care offers 24-hour medical care with input from the resident, family, physician, and staff. Intermediate care is for residents who cannot live independently and require 24-hour supervision and assistance with daily activities. Skilled care is for residents who need 24-hour assistance as well as skilled services, such as feeding tubes, IV services, wound care, or rapidly changing medical needs. Both levels of nursing care can be paid for privately, with long-term care insurance, or through Medicaid.

DEMENTIA AND MEMORY CARE
Dementia and Memory Care is tailored for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other forms of memory loss. While Memory Care is available in all our nursing neighborhoods, we also provide a state-certified Special Care Unit—the only one in the area. Our team is specially trained to meet the unique needs of those with moderate to severe memory loss. This level of care can be paid for privately, with long-term care insurance, or through Medicaid.
SHORT-TERM REHABILITATION
Short-term rehabilitation supports those needing a little extra care after a hospital stay. This service offers highly skilled levels of nursing and rehab services following at least a three-night inpatient hospital stay. This level of care is primarily paid for by Medicare. If you have a Medicare Advantage Replacement Plan, preauthorization is required from your insurance company. We also participate in a program that allows a waiver to the three-night hospital stay through Medicare called Next Gen. Talk to your healthcare provider to see if you qualify.
