News & Views from Campus: October 8^th – October 14^th

-Cottage Community Center (30D): Triple Yahtzee (weekly) on Tuesday at 6pm! Canasta on Wednesday at 1pm, Coffee Hour on Thursday at 10am and Dominoes Saturday at 1pm!

-Spooky Halloween Themed Movies & Activities for all this week! Check out 80’s classic The Goonies on Monday at 2pm. On Tuesday at 6:30, head to the Social Room for a game of Truth or Scare! Then, checkout some frightfully funny flicks starting with The Dog Who Saved Halloween on Wednesday at 1:30, Hubie Halloween on Thursday at 6:15, and The Boy Who Cried Werewolf on Friday at 1:30pm!

-Mystery Meal returns at 10:30am on Wednesday the 11^th. Remember, you must reserve your spot with Sally at extension 4227 by Tuesday the 10^th at Noon, and the only cost to you is the price of your meal!

Looking ahead to actual Halloween, the Good Samaritan Home staff will have a very special treat for residents, so keep Tuesday, October 31^st open in the morning for a spooktacular event!

A Shepherds Song

There was no Moon that chilly winter night, nor did a cloud obstruct the star filled sky, when Shepherds saw a great and wondrous sight, and heard the angel’s message from on High. A Savior has been born in Bethlehem and in a stable you will find his bed. His mission is to rescue fallen man, let’s worship him the lowly shepherds said. As angel’s songs of praise rang in their ears, the shepherds made their way to David’s town. Messiah, Savior, Promised through the years, within a cattle’s manger was laid down. So like shepherds, let us offer praise, and glory laud an honor to him raise.
