The month of October comes from the Latin “octo” meaning eight, because it was the eighth month in the early Roman calendar.

October 10^th is a VERY busy day! It’s Canadian Thanksgiving, Columbus Day, and Indigenous Peoples Day.

Octobers full moon, also known as the Hunters Moon, arrives on Sunday the 9^th.

Octobers birthstone is Opal.

When deer are in a grey coat in October, expect that a hard winter is to come.

A warm October is said to mean a blistering cold February.

Supernatural creatures, spirits, and beings are said to roam freely the month of October.

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or stow away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
