Taking Care of Yourself and Your Community
As the number of positive COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Adams County, we’d like to remind everyone to take care of yourself and your community. The following excerpt has been copied directly from the CDC.gov website:

Healthy ways to cope with stress

  • Know what to do if you are sick and are concerned about COVID-19. Contact a health professional before you start any self-treatment for COVID-19.
  • Know where and how to get treatment and other support services and resources, including counseling or therapy (in person or through telehealth services).
  • Take care of your emotional health.
  • Take breaks from watching, reading, or listening to news stories, including those on social media.
  • Take care of your body.
  • Take deep breaths, stretch, or meditate.
  • Try to eat healthy, well-balanced meals.
  • Exercise regularly, and get plenty of sleep.
  • Avoid excessive alcohol and drug use.
  • Make time to unwind. Do some other activities you enjoy.
  • Connect with others. Talk with people you trust about your concerns and how you are feeling.
  • Connect with your community- or faith-based organizations. While social distancing measures are in place, consider connecting online, through social media, or by phone or mail.

Laugh of the Week
I thought about not telling any more Thanksgiving jokes, but then I realized I couldn’t quit cold turkey.

Why did they let the turkey join the band?
He had his own drumsticks!

Scripture & Prayer Request

Psalm 16:1-8
Preserve me, O God, for in You I take refuge.  I say to The LORD, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from You”…The sorrows of those who run after another god shall multiply…The LORD is my Chosen Portion and my Cup…I have set The LORD always before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.
