News & Views from Campus: November 5^th – November 11^th

-Cottage Community Center (30D): Triple Yahtzee (weekly) on Tuesday at 4:30pm (New Time)! Canasta on Wednesday at 1pm, Coffee Hour on Thursday at 10am and Dominoes Saturday at 1pm! All cottagers are more than welcome to attend!

-Movie Highlights For The Coming Week include:

Some great flicks coming up including Jaws (Roy Schneider, Robert Shaw), where a killer shark terrorizes a Cape Cod beach community. The Monuments Men (George Clooney, Matt Damon), an unlikely WWII platoon rescues art masterpieces from German thieves, and A Beautiful Mind (Russel Crowe, Jennifer Connelly), a brilliant mathematician’s life takes a nightmarish turn after beginning work in secret cryptography!

-Good Samaritan Home will hold a Chili and Grilled Cheese Soup Supper in the Social Room on November 15^th from 3:30pm – 6:30pm! Adults are $6, and kids under 10 years of age are $4! All meals include chili, a grilled cheese, dessert and drink! All proceeds go directly to the Employee Assistance Fund!

-We are taking donations of baked goods for the chili supper as well! If any employees, residents, or cottagers would like to donate, please contact Missy Loos at 217-223-8717 extension 4296!

Prayer Of The Week

My Many Blessings

Lord your many blessings I’ve partaken of, send to me a message of eternal love. Although I’m not worthy Jesus died for me, took my condemnation, death upon a tree. By his resurrection he defeated death. Now I know the grave is not my final rest. Jesus went to heaven to prepare a place where I’ll live forever, where I’ll see his face. Lord your many blessings, I am thankful for. Teach me God my Father to love you more and more.
