News & Views from Campus: November 3^rd – November 9^th

-Cottage Community Center (30D): Tuesday, 6:00pm: Game Night, Wednesday, 1pm: Ponytail Canasta. Thursday, 10am: Coffee Hour (now serving regular & decaf). Friday, 1:30pm: Scrabble, 6:30pm: Friday Night Fun & Games. Saturday, 1pm: Dominoes Train.

-Good Sam Chili Soup Dinner is Wednesday, November 13^th from 3:30pm-6:30pm! $6 for adults and $4 for children under 10 gets you chili, grilled cheese, dessert and drink! If you would like to donate baked goods please contact Missy Loos at 217-223-8717 ext. 4296! We are currently looking for some excellent bakers to donate desserts! All proceeds benefit the Employee Assistance Fund that helps employees facing extended absences from work due to catastrophic events, such as a house fire or death in the immediate family.    

–This and That for the Week: Live entertainment from Tim Bealor on Thursday at 1pm! Also, the casino comes to town as we play Blackjack in the Social Room on Tuesday evening at 6:30! Test your skills at Spintopia (similar to Wheel of Fortune) on Monday at 2pm in Eastbrook! Or take it easy and catch a great documentary like Remembering Gene Wilder on Tuesday at 2pm.                                                                                                                                        -Nathan

My Many Blessings

Lord your many blessings I’ve partaken of, send to me a message of eternal love. Although I’m not worthy Jesus died for me, took my condemnation, death upon a tree. By his resurrection he defeated death. Now I know the grave is not my final rest. Jesus went to heaven to prepare a place where I’ll live forever, where I’ll see his face. Lord your many blessings, I am thankful for.
