News & Views from Campus: May 14^th – May 20^th 2023

-National Nursing Home Week is upon us! Don’t miss out on any of our weeklong celebrations! Kick it off with The Balloon Man, Mr. Jay Almeter on Sunday afternoon at 2:15pm! Tuesday at 2pm head to the Town Hall for old fashioned Root Beer Floats! On Wednesday come enjoy cake and camaraderie in the Social Room at 2pm as we celebrate this years Century Club! Thursday morning, staff will be on hand in the dining room and on ALL neighborhoods for a Pancake Buffett! Build you perfect flapjack with different toppings like syrup, blueberries, strawberries, bananas, chocolate chips, whipped cream, and more! Join us and celebrate everything that makes our home such a special place!   

-Last week I made a mistake… so everyone please join me in wishing a Happy Belated Birthday to our one and only activities ace Lucinda Smith, who turned (gasp) 40 years old last week!!! ????

-Don’t Forget you must register with Sally at extension 4227 if you’d like to attend Wal-Mart Shopping on Wednesday May 17^th! You must reserve you spot by noon on Tuesday the 16^th, so don’t delay!  

-Our trip through the American West continues with Charro starring The King, Elvis Pressley, as a vengeful cowboy! We will screen this in The Social Room at 6:15 on Thursday evening!
