The Patter – March 9th 2025

-Cottage Community Center (30D): Tuesday, 6:00pm: Game Night! Wednesday, 1pm: Ponytail Canasta. Thursday, 10am: Coffee Hour. Friday, 1:30pm: Scrabble, 6:00pm: Friday Night Fun & Games. Saturday, 1pm: Dominoes Train. 

-Cherry Lane Cottagers are still gathering the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7pm at 2109 Cherry Lane Estates North. Come meet your neighbors for some good convo and snacks!      

-Exercise Time Changing: For the time being, Saturday exercise on Channel 3 will move to 11:30am. If you have any questions, you can call activities at ext. 4227.

-St. Patrick’s Day Fun Facts: The shamrock is considered a sacred plant as St. Patrick used it and it’s 3 leaves to preach about the Holy Trinity. There are currently 34.7 million U.S. residents with Irish ancestry, which is more than 7 times the population of Ireland itself! St. Patrick was actually born in Britain, and at 16 years of age was kidnapped by Irish raiders and held in captivity for 6 years. While held prisoner, he began to have dreams and visions of angels and the voice of God, telling him to convert the Irish people to Christianity.
