News & Views from Campus: March 5^th – March 11^th 2023

-Phyllis Wiesemann, one of our cottagers, will be celebrating a milestone birthday on March 11^th and 12^th. She will be 90 years old on March 11^th, and her granddaughter who lives in Colorado, will make this birthday extra special by traveling to Illinois to get married on that day! On Sunday, March 12^th, Phyllis’s family will host an open house at Good Samaritan Home in the Board Room to celebrate with family, friends, and her “Good Samaritan Family.” You are invited to stop by anytime between 2:00 and 4:00 pm to visit with Phyllis, enjoy some refreshments, and wish her a Happy 90^th Birthday!

-Don’t Forget Mystery Meal on Wednesday the 8^th and Thursday the 9^th. Reservations need to be made by calling Activities at ext. 4227 or 4229 by noon on Tuesday March 7^th. The only cost for the outing is the price of your meal!

-Plan on a party for the ages on March 17^th as we bring back our wildly popular St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl! This years edition will be held in East Circle, right Past the old Sheltering Grove. All sorts of St. Patrick’s Day Fare will be on display, along with tons of tasty treats, so make sure to wear your green that day!
