Aquatic Therapy Classes
Written by: Christine Broeker, Rehab Secretary
Did you know that Good Samaritan Home has an indoor pool? In the Watson Aquatic Center, we offer warm water aquatic group classes that consist of simple range of motion exercises done at your own pace. These classes are led by a qualified instructor and would be a great asset to your health and fitness. Our program comes highly recommended by local physicians! To participate in these classes, you must be able to do the following:
- Be able to get your self in and out of the building.
- Dress and undress yourself.
- Be able to stand in water up to 4 feet for about 1 hour while doing the exercises. You need not be able to swim.
To be able to participate in the course, it is required that we have a signed order from your doctor stating it is okay for you to be in the warm water pool. You will need to bring this with you to your first class meeting. Classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the following times: 7:30-8:30 am, 9:15-10:15 am, or 11:00 am-noon. Current registration fees are $25 for 10 visits for cottagers and $35 for 10 visits for others.
If you have any questions regarding the pool, please contact Christine Broeker at 223-8717 ext. 4201.

Prayer Request & Scripture
This week we are praying for the residents in Sunny Dale and for the Nursing Support staff.
Our Scripture of the Week is Psalm 18:20-24 (The Message): “God made my life complete when I placed all the pieces before him. When I got my act together, he gave me a fresh start. Now I’m alert to God’s ways; I don’t take God for granted. Every day I review the ways he works; I try not to miss a trick. I feel put back together, and I’m watching my step. God rewrote the text of my life when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes.”
