A message from the Placematters:

“Greetings from the Placematters. We are alive and well and working on fresh placemats. Bring us your cards that haven’t been with anyone who was ill.”

Virginia Echternkamp is retiring from making placemats from calendars as she will be celebrating her 100th birthday next year. She has made almost 500 placemats during her time with the Placematters. Our new cottager, Eleanor Yackley, will take over the calendars in Virginia’s place.

This week, we also said goodbye and a happy retirement to Carlotta Rice, housekeeper. Carlotta has dedicated 15 years of service to Good Samaritan Home, and we wish her the best of luck in her retirement!

In retirement, every day is Boss Day and every day is Employee Appreciation Day.” -Unknown
