News & Views from Campus: July 23^rd – July 29^th 2023

-Cottage Community Center: Located at 30D, Canasta on Wednesday at 1pm, Coffee on Thursday at 10am, and Dominoes Saturday at 1pm!

-Join us for our wild Rave Party! on Wednesday, July 26^th at 1:30pm in the Social Room. It will be transformed into the dance club “Emma’s Neon Jungle”, Named in honor of our Administrator Emma “Jeannie Mcleod!” Glowsticks, blacklights, neon, and a BUNCH of surprises await! You won’t want to miss this party!

-Catch Bye Bye Birdie on Sunday the 29^th at 1pm! Originally starring the timeless Dick Van Dyke (whom grew up across the state in Danville, Illinois), Birdie opened to amazing reviews in 1960 in New York City. The musical itself was influenced by Elvis Presley’s conscription into the Army in 1957, and tells the story of rockstar Conrad Birdie traveling to Ohio to make his “farewell” television performance and kiss his biggest fan!

 -Illinois Stories tells the story of a Jacksonville area couple who takes you through the process of making maple syrup, from tapping trees all the way to the bottling!
