News & Views from Campus: February 9 – February 15, 2020

Sarah Dolbeare, Director of Support Services writes…..

  I am pleased to introduce the ladies who work at the Front Receptionist Desk here at Good Samaritan Home.

• Nancy is our Lead Receptionist.  She works 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. 
• Peggy is our Evening Receptionist working 3:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• Luanne and Brenda switch off working every other weekend 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  They both are new to Good Samaritan Home. 
• Cheryl works every weekend evening from 3:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
• Janet is a backup receptionists that graciously serves as needed.

  These ladies are continuously busy answering phones, paging, selling meal tickets, stamps, cards, placemats, garbage stickers, etc.  They also help with sign-ups for activities, distribute paychecks, assist with mailing packages, make reservations for the Perry Suite, hand out applications for employment & application packets for the Home/Cottages, offer information and directions for guests and residents, make copies for people (10¢) per copy, do a variety of computer work — plus various other duties. 

  In addition to the receptionists, I would also like to introduce the people who take care of our mail.

• Lee is our Lead Mailman who works Monday – Friday sorting and delivering mail.
• Janet sorts our mail on Saturday and fills as needed.

  We are very blessed to have such a wonderful team of people to assist you at the Front Desk.
