News & Views from Campus: February 26^th – March 4^th

-Phyllis Wiesemann, one of our cottagers, will be celebrating a milestone birthday on March 11^th and 12^th. She will be 90 years old on March 11^th, and her granddaughter who lives in Colorado, will make this birthday extra special by traveling to Illinois to get married on that day! Ashley is engaged to a young man from the Philippines, who she met in Colorado. They will be married in a small ceremony with Phyllis looking on with love.
On Sunday, March 12^th, Phyllis’s family will host an open house at Good Samaritan Home in the Board Room to celebrate with family, friends, and her “Good Samaritan Family.” You are invited to stop by anytime between 2:00 and 4:00 pm to visit with Phyllis, enjoy some refreshments, and wish her a Happy 90^th Birthday!

-Don’t Forget the Chili Soup Supper coming up Tuesday, February 28^th, beginning at 4pm in the Social Room! Dine in with us or carry it out! The cost is just $6 for adults and $4 for children under 10, and the price includes soup, grilled cheese, drink and dessert!

-March 1^st is also World Compliment Day, so don’t forget to spread kind words wherever you go! It also marks the 60^th day of 2023, meaning we have 305 more to go!
