-New for Cottagers: Our next Ladies Bible Study will be February 26th at 5pm in cottage 30D. Contact Cottager Vickie Larson at 217-440-2205 for more info. We will meet Mondays, every other week, going forward.

-Leap Day is upon us! Plan on attending the Leap Day Event on Thursday at 2pm in the Social Room, and see what fun the Activities Department has in store for us! And speaking of Leap Day…it takes the Earth about 365.242 days to circle around the sun once. Since our calendar only has 365 days, we have to add a day every 4th year to compensate. Also, tradition from England dictates that women are allowed to propose to men on Leap Day! Being born on Leap Day is SUPER rare. The probability of it happening is only 1 in 1,461. For comparison, the probability of being born with 11 fingers or toes is 1 in 500! Also, the first arrest warrants during the Salem Witch trials were issued on February 29th, 1662. All told, they hung 19 suspected “witches”. Not a great day in colonial America…
