Prayer Of The Week
Gethsemane
Our savior prayed on dark Gethsemane, while sweat like drops of blood were on his brow. His thoughts that day were fixed on you and me, and yielding to the Father he did bow. Yet while he prayed for us that fateful night, his own disciples nodded off to sleep. The yielding of his will was the great fight that saw him die, his Fathers word to keep. Amazing love he had for you and me, was on display that night so long ago, when he agreed to die upon a tree that we eternal life with him might know. Eternal God our thanks to you we raise, and offer to your Son our deepest praise.
