Merry Christmas to all of our residents, cottagers, nurses, aides, dietary staff, physical therapists, housekeepers, administrators, secretaries, and all those who help make Good Samaritan Home such a great place to live and work! We want to thank our employees and board members for all of their support in our secret Santa effort, year in and year out! We want to thank the community for the outpouring of donations from Christmas cards, to gifts, to decorations, flowers, plants and more!

What else has happened on Christmas day throughout history?

1776: Washington led his army of 2,400 men across the icy Delaware River en route to an American victory in the Revolutionary War.

1977: Charlie Chaplin passes away at the age of 88.

1991: Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev resigns as it was clear he lost the support of the government. The Soviet Union is no more.
