Beatitudes For Friends of the Aged

Blessed are they who understand
My faltering step and palsied hand.

Blessed are they who know that my ears today
Must strain to catch the things they say.

Blessed are they who seem to know
That my eyes are dim and wits are slow.

Blessed are they who looked away
When coffee spilled at the table today.

Blessed are they who never say,
You’ve told that story twice today.

Blessed are they who know the ways
To bring back memories of yesterdays

Blessed are they who make it known
That I am loved, respected, and not alone

Blessed are they who know I’m at a loss
To find the strength to carry the Cross.

Blessed are they who ease the days
On my journey Home in loving ways.

Prayer Request & Scripture

This week we are praying for the residents in the McReynolds Center and for the Admissions Staff.

Our Scripture of the Week is Psalm 145:1-2: “I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever. Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever.”

Quanada Support Counseling

Quanada will be offering on-site counseling for anyone who feels they need someone to talk to. No appointment is necessary and these sessions are free. They will be in rooms #120 and #214 in Sheltering Grove the following days: Wednesday, Aug 14: 9:30a-12p; Friday, Aug. 16: 3p-5p; Tuesday, Aug 20: 9a-10:30a; Thursday, Aug. 22: 2:30p-4p; Monday, Aug. 26: 2p-5p; Wednesday, Aug. 28: 9:30a-12p

Cherry Lane Estates Meeting

Reminder: Cherry Lane Estates will be holding their monthly meeting on the third Wednesday of the month. In August it will be August 21 at 9 am, location to be announced.
