News & Views from Campus: April 16th – April 22nd 2023

-Wal-Mart Shopping returns this week on Wednesday the 19th. Meet at the front entrance at 8:30, BUT, before you do, you must contact Sally at ext. 4227 by Tuesday at Noon to reserve your spot on the bus!

-This week’s entertainment features the classic McLintock, starring John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara, showing at 1pm on Wednesday. Tough cattle baron G.W. McLintock uses his power and influence to keep the peace in the territory between farmers, ranchers, Indians, and corrupt government officials.

Also, join in with fellow residents on Wednesday evening at 6pm for a screening of Lost Island, a feel-good story of several children who, after their grandfather falls ill, head to the sea to protect endangered sea turtles from dangerous poachers!

-You Won’t Want To Miss Beanboozled on Wednesday at 1:30pm in the Social Room! The game is designed so that two Jelly Belly jelly beans look IDENTICAL but have VERY different flavors. For example, a brown Jelly Belly may be Chocolate Pudding but it may also be Canned Dog Food.  The catch is that there is absolutely no way to tell–not by color or smell. You won’t know until you bite into the candy! Be sure to stop by and get ready to laugh!

Happy Birthday
