News & Views from Campus: April 10th – April 16th

This and That…

-Good Samaritan is holding a non-perishable food and drive the entire month of April! Not only are food items accepted, but also personal sanitary and hygiene products as well. We will distribute these items to different food pantries around the area after April. We have boxes on every unit, and at the front desk, employee annex, and across from the General Store where you may drop off donations. Help us help our community by donating to the Good Samaritan April Food Drive!

-We all know that Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ in the Christian Religion. However, German culture has seemed to influence the other side of the Easter Celebration. Hard-boiling, hiding, and coloring eggs, chocolates and treats for children, and the first mention of the Easter Bunny (Osterhase in Germany) which was in the 16th century, all come from Germany. Easter is a 4 day long celebration in Deutschland where most businesses are closed Friday through Monday.

Happy Birthday
