Residents and Staff to be Tested

EMPLOYEE TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19

As a result of our facility-wide weekly testing, we have been informed that one of our employees tested positive for COVID-19 from the August 26 – August 28 round of testing.  This specific employee is now quarantined at home. All staff and residents will be tested for the next two weeks to determine if exposure has occurred within the facility. At this time, the facility has entered into a full quarantine with residents quarantined to their individual rooms.

We stand by our commitment to the health and safety of our residents and staff. We continue to take precautions, which include:

• Continued screening all staff members and other essential persons entering our facility for symptoms related to COVID-19.
• Continued screening of all residents several times a day with vital signs and temperature checks.
• Resident meals delivered to their rooms.
• Activities held in resident rooms and doorways.
• Beauty shop closure.
• Continued disinfecting of resident rooms, common areas, and high-traffic areas multiple times daily.
• All staff will continue to wear masks and practice good hand hygiene.

We continue to follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), and the Adams County Health Department. We will communicate new information with families, residents, staff, and the community as it becomes available to us. The health and safety of our residents remains our top priority as we continue to follow proper COVID-19 guidelines and procedures regarding both residents and staff.

Window visits are still allowed at this time. However, the window must remain closed at all times and under no circumstances should the window be opened.
