From the desk of………Chuck Newton,
Administrator/CEO
Since coming
to Good Samaritan in late September, I thought it was time to introduce myself
and tell a little bit about my family and me.
My name is Chuck Newton, and I am the new CEO/Administrator here at Good
Samaritan Home. I have over 25 years of
leadership experience in CCRC management in senior living. A graduate
of The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a Bachelor’s in Business
Administration, I have achieved proven results in program development and
management, strategic planning, resident and staff satisfaction, community
relations, and project coordination. I have been instrumental in repositioning
communities to better serve today’s seniors as well as achieving a CMS 5
star rating for high-quality healthcare services. I led communities to a
financially strong position with ongoing financial viability of operations, and
the management of large endowment reserves while managing the multi-million
dollar annual operating budgets. During my career, I have also served as
cabinet chair, board member and board chair for Leading-Age Illinois, an
association of over 500 non-profit senior living organizations in the state.
Married for over 36 years, my wife, Lea, and I presently live in Western
Springs, Illinois. We have two children, Stephany and Samuel, a
son-in-law Tyler and one-year-old grandson Charlie. Hobbies include
hiking and working on a 1967 MGB once owned by my father for 10 years and now
me for the last 35 years. I very much
look forward to serving you here at Good Samaritan and continuing its Christian
mission and values. Please feel free to
stop by my office at any time to talk.
