With sadness and gratitude, we announce that CEO/ Administrator Mike Duffy has announced his resignation from Good Samaritan Home. We thank Mr. Duffy for his 29 years of dedicated service, and wish him all the best in his future endeavors!

Dear Good Samaritan Home family and friends,

As I reflect back on almost 29 years of service to The Good Samaritan Home of Quincy, I’m proud to have been a part of a very special legacy that is incorporated in our Mission Statement “Superior Christian service in a charitable community”.

The Home is very much a part of my extended family and I’ve poured all I have: my faith, heart and soul into the privilege I’ve had to partner alongside our Board of Directors, exceptional staff, precious residents and their families and our volunteers. I have been truly blessed by God to be in this place, in this time.

In recent months, I’ve reflected on my desires, wishes, intentions and plans for the future. I’m deeply saddened to announce to you my pending resignation. I have agreed to continue to serve until the Board has selected a replacement or until September 30th, the end of our fiscal year.

It is my most sincere hope and prayer that all who are a part of the very special place will honor, support and respect this most difficult decision and will continue to move forward with renewed energy, enthusiasm and expectations. I believe in a new and bright future ahead.

The Home will always hold a very special place in my heart. The relationships I’ve developed with the residents and their families, my gifted Supervisory team and our dedicated and compassionate staff will always be my most treasured memories. May God Bless You All!

With Love,

Michael P. Duffy

Prayer Request & Scripture

This week we are praying for the residents in the Cottages and for the Physical Therapy staff.

Our Scripture of the Week is Psalm 19:1-4: “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”
